Norman J. Cooeyate has served in many capacities on behalf of his Zuni people, as well as all American Indians. Through his research experience, Norman has provided a direct link into the cultural aspects and competency that researchers generally overlook when researching in Indigenous populations. With his experience and training in health, as well as his tenure as Governor, Norman has created bridges in addressing these concerns through the use of Indigenous designs, methodology, and participation.
