At the AANS Annual Business Meeting on April 28, several bylaws amendments were presented to the membership. On May 30, ballots were sent to AANS voting members, who were asked to vote on the bylaws amendments. All of the amendments were approved, with between 91 percent and 95 percent of members voting in favor of each issue. Approved changes include: (1) clarifications regarding eligibility for the Associate and Lifetime member categories; (2) name change of the Long Range Planning Committee to the Strategic Planning Committee; and (3) editing of bylaws wording, such as grammar corrections or committee name changes, without a full membership vote and the attendant time and expense. The complete, newly revised AANS bylaws are available here.
