Should Neurosurgeons Consider Arbitration Agreements

    The concept of binding arbitration agreements is an interesting one, and possibly quite useful, if such agreements are enforceable.

    As this article indicates, state laws vary sharply on the enforceability of such agreements. In some states where there appears to be statutory authority for arbitration agreements, those statutes have yet to be tested in court.

    Neurosurgeons considering these agreements should consult with their respective state medical societies regarding the usefulness of arbitration agreements.
