AANS Bylaws Report

At the AANS Annual Business Meeting held on April 30, 2018, in New Orleans, two proposed Bylaws Amendments were presented to the Voting Membership. On June 14, voting members of AANS were sent ballots and asked to vote on the approval of the Bylaws Amendments. We are pleased to report that all Amendment issues were approved with 98-99 percent of members voting in favor of each issue. The approved Amendments will add an additional layer of due process protection in a Professional Conduct Grievance by providing an opportunity for all voting members to vote on an appeal and will clarify and ensure that individuals do not serve on the Board of Directors for multiple terms as Director-at-large or Quadrant Director.
