Athletes May Have White Matter Brain Changes Six Months After a Concussion

Seventeen high school and college footballs players were studied who had experienced a sports-related concussion. At the 24-hour, eight-day and six-day mark, each participant was given an MRI and were assessed for concussion symptoms, balance problems and cognitive impairment. Their results were compared to 18 athletes who had not experienced a sports-related concussion. To read more, click here.
